Our Founder Director has stepped back from the organisation and we are now looking for a fifth Director to join our team. This is an exciting and rewarding time to get involved as we head into 2021 with new opportunities and challenges.

Over the last four and a half years our organisation has grown from projects run by a handful of highly dedicated volunteers into an organisation employing 7 staff and with 20+ volunteers. To help us grow and continue to make a valuable contribution to our communities across Copeland and Allerdale we need experienced members of the public to join our Board of Directors. We need people who can help direct Always Another Way towards it’s mission statement and ensure the organisation is effectively managed.

Mission Statement:

At its core, our aim is to support those in our community; improve community spirit, as well as psychological and physical well-being, while promoting social inclusion, acceptance and community support.

Always Another Way values diversity and welcomes any members of the public who are interested in furthering the aims of Always Another Way to consider joining our board. It is important that a Director is able to devote the necessary time, have strategic vision, an understanding of the needs of local communities in West Cumbria and the ability to think creatively and willingness to speak their mind.

Board meetings usually take place in the evenings and are held every three months at the Always Another Way office, Whitehaven. Cumbria. OR via Zoom during times when social distancing measures are necessary.
