You are invited to join Cumbria CVS to help us build and prioritise a plan of work for our NEW Mental Health Partnerships Officer for South Cumbria.

Cumbria CVS are delighted to announce that they have secured funding from the Mental Health Transformation Programme in South Cumbria. We will be working alongside local third sector organisations and Lancashire South Cumbria Foundation Trust (LSCFT) to support and improve partnership/integration between the third sector and mental health statutory sector delivery in relation to support for people experiencing a severe mental health illness. Funding is currently only available for a limited 12 month period.

The funding has been provided to deliver the BRAND-NEW role of Mental Health Partnerships Officer. Cumbria CVS now needs your help to focus the work of the NEW post holder.

Please come and join us at this event and help build and prioritise a plan of work to ensure that the NEW post holder is able to deliver a range of really positive outcomes in the limited time available.

Background and context to the role:

The post holder will aim to support a range of work including:

  • Better representation of the third sector in programme and workstream delivery groups
  • Facilitation of stronger collaboration between the third sector and LSCFT
  • Improved communication and sharing of best practices across the system
  • The development of a more coordinated response to community mental health needs
  • Better collaboration and capacity building of the VCFSE sector.
  • Increase awareness for signposting across the system
  • Recognition of the contribution of each sector and its importance
