Closing date for applications:

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic coordinator to lead a range of hugely exciting opportunities for young people in Cumbria to get involved in tackling climate change.

One aspect of this new role at CAfS is to coordinate our Greener Schools project. We’ll support students to review their school’s environmental footprint, report their results, help decide on actions and take part in delivering those actions.

The second aspect of the role is to coordinate initiatives for young people as part of the Zero Carbon Cumbria programme, funded by the National Lottery.  Just a few examples are a youth climate council and summit, and supporting young people to report on climate-related news.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of working with schools, youth organisations and other partners to coordinate the delivery of youth projects and make them a success.

You’ll love empowering young people, helping them to develop new skills and achieve real influence over climate action in the county, building effective working relations with schools, partners and contractors.

HOURS: 22.5 (3 days) a week

START/END DATE: Fixed-term contract starting ASAP to end Aug 2022 (with potential to extend subject to additional funding)
