About the role
We have a brand-new opportunity to join us as at Humankind as a Harm Reduction Lead. This opportunity will allow you to work across the picturesque region of Cumbria, you will be based in either of the following locations: Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven, Kendal, or Barrow. As this position involves travel you will need access to your own vehicle, please note that you will be reimbursed for travel costs at 45p per mile.
As a Harm Reduction Lead you will be an integral member of a dynamic multi-agency team, developing a Harm Reduction strategic action plan to ensure Harm Reduction is embedded into wider service provision, delivered effectively, and operated within quality frameworks. Responsibilities will include
- Leading, alongside the clinical and operation teams, on key harm reduction workstreams such as County Wide Naloxone provision, BBV testing and treatment, Needle Syringe Programmes and drug-related deaths linking into wider local and national strategies.
- Working with both local, regional, and national data to analyse and identify trends to inform and plan for future service delivery needs.
- Leading in the development and delivery of Peer-to-Peer Naloxone.
