Volunteers needed to be purr-fect fit for animal charities

Poster with information about volunteer recruitment sessionGoing through the woof trying to figure out how you can support the work of a charity helping animals? Having a cat-astrophic time finding local Cumbrian charities needing support?

We can help! Join us on Zoom for our Virtual Volunteer Recruitment Session on Thursday 3 February – 12noon-1.30pm.

This event brings together a range of different charities from across Cumbria that support animals, or children with disabilities to horse-ride, looking to recruit new volunteers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet the organisations and find out how to register and become a volunteer.

You can also hear about what different opportunities are available, when and where volunteers are needed, and details about the training, support and recruitment process for each organisation.

Organisations attending the event include:

  • Oaktree Animals
  • Eden Animal Rescue
  • Animal Concern Cumbria
  • Riding for the Disabled West Cumbria
  • RSPCA Westmorland
  • Riding for the Disabled Westmorland
  • Animal Rescue Cumbria

Opportunities available include dog walking, cat cuddling, animal care, fostering animals, supporting children to horse-ride, administration, retail, drivers, wood-workers, trustees, gardening, fundraising and more!

Just a few hours a week or month of a volunteer’s time can make such a difference to the lives of animals.

Volunteering brings so many benefits through spending time with animals, gaining experience, sharing skills, meeting new people, accessing training opportunities and learning something new.
