This role is based within our People First Academy; a team of hospitality professionals that work together to operate our hospitality enterprises, whilst sharing their skills and experience with people with learning disabilities who are enrolled on a range of learning programmes. Ran side-by-side with people with learning disabilities, each of our enterprises are places of learning and development that balance the need to generate income with the primary goal of helping people gain work experience and qualifications.

At a time of exciting growth and development, we are seeking a new Kitchen Team Leader – Job Coach to join our team in a truly unique and rewarding role. Leading a small team of kitchen staff, and supported by leaders from across our department, this role has three main focuses:

To lead the design, development, and production of our ambitious food and drink offer – currently served at two Carlisle-based venues and soon to expand into West Cumbria

• To ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency are achieved whilst contributing to food and drink production
• To work side by side with people with learning disabilities, sharing your skills as a mentor, supporting people to develop skills, as you work together in our one-of-a-kind venues

With minimal evening and weekend work, freedom to create new and exciting menu items, significant support from like-minded colleagues, this role will suit someone who is well-organised, experienced working in kitchens, and motivated to share their expertise with people looking to learn new things.
