Have you got spreadsheet phobia? Do spreadsheets give you the shakes? If you need to use them to create fundraising budgets – fear not!
This session is designed to help participants navigate and create effective fundraising budgets using spreadsheets. We will cover the essentials of building and managing budgets in a user-friendly way, without feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of spreadsheets. We’ll demystify the terminology and give you some real practice at pulling a budget together.
What we’ll cover:
- Understanding Basic Excel Functions: Learn essential Excel tools for budgeting, including formulas, formatting, and amending tables to organise data clearly.
- Using a Fundraising Budget Template: Step-by-step guidance on setting up a fundraising budget, including direct project costs, full cost recovery and pro bono support.
By the end of the online (Zoom) session you will have the skills to organise and track your fundraising finances confidently.
This is a 1-hour workshop, commissioned by the This is Us project, which is funded by Westmorland and Furness Council and UK Government and delivered by Directory of Social Change (DSC). It is designed for small charities and voluntary community groups delivering services in Westmorland and Furness only.
