Barrow Volunteer Fair

Your organisation is invited to book onto the Barrow Volunteering Fair, organised by Cumbria CVS. This event aims to attract those that are interested in finding out more about becoming a volunteer and local volunteering opportunities. This event is open to the general public to come along and find out about volunteering across Barrow-in-Furness and is funded by the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund & UKSPF.

By attending the event volunteers will find out more about which local organisations are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer.

We kindly ask that each organisation that attends brings displays, posters, leaflets, information, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. We ask organisations to attend for the full event and to talk to any potential new volunteers about:

*Volunteering opportunities available

*Time commitment

*Training & support available

*How volunteers can register to become a volunteer

Places will be confirmed after the closing date of Monday 13th May 2024. Please book early so this will allow time for publicity and posters to be produced for the event.

We ask all participants to register on the new Volunteering in Cumbria portal as we will be encouraging volunteers who attend the event to register on the portal to volunteer (https://volunteering.cumbriacvs.org.uk)
