We are looking for a dedicated and professional Sensory Equipment Officer to join our team, to deliver a high-quality service
to our service users who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or have Hearing Loss in Cumbria- South Lakeland ensuring the best support
and advice on technical equipment is provided to meet their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and provide technical equipment advice while maintaining professionalism and
understanding risk management, safeguarding issues, and legislation.
• Proactively guide users to appropriate resources and manage stock control.
• Coordinate service user appointments with installation and repair services, conduct follow-up reviews, and
reassess needs as required.
• Offer technical advice, stay updated with industry developments, attend relevant events, and adhere to
organisational policies while promoting the BID mission statement and core values.
Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Including BSL level 2)
• Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management
• Understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
• Commitment to continuous personal development and training
