Join the next Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) Subgroup meeting, hosted by Cumbria CVS. This ESV Sub Group aims to bring together Volunteer Managers in Cumbria and businesses to further develop Employer Supported Volunteering in Cumbria.

Join us to find out more about Give a Day in Carlisle and Kendal this year!

Give a Day has been happening in and around Carlisle for over 8 years, bringing together big hearted people, businesses, schools and groups and connecting them to great charities and projects. Give a Day in Carlisle is taking place from 30 June until 7 July 2023 and they are looking for projects that need volunteers so individuals can be inspired to Give a Day or for individuals to sign up and volunteer!

Give a Day in Kendal will also be taking place in September 2023 so they are also looking for community projects that need volunteers and for volunteers to offer their time and skills to volunteer. It could be on your own, or with a team from your workplace or neighbourhood.

At the next Employer Supported Volunteering Sub Group we will also be hearing from Morgan Sindall about their employer supported volunteer policy and their commitment for encouraging their employees to volunteer, along with Solfest who are reaching out to our local community for volunteers and businesses for support.

You will also hear from the Step Forward into Volunteering and Employment Team about their Better Mental Health in the Workplace Toolkit for employees and employers. An ideal resource and toolkit for those who may be supporting someone experiencing mental ill health or an employee looking for mental health resources.

Explore the positive benefits of ESV to employees and employers, the impact ESV has on local communities and how it creates opportunities to share learning, build skills and knowledge throughout Cumbria.
