Cumbria CVS and Third Sector Network Consultation Event

As you are hopefully aware, the Government is currently consulting the public on proposals to reorganise local government in Cumbria.

This would be a change from the current “two-tier” system (County Council and 6 District Councils) to one or more “Unitary Authorities” which combine the current functions of County and District Councils. This would be a big shake up – but one that has the potential to open up big opportunities for the county.

Cumbria Third Sector Network and Cumbria CVS are holding an event on Wednesday 24 March 2021 so that people from local voluntary and community sector organisations can find out more.

There are 4 different proposals that have been put forward by grouping of the current local authorities, and we will be hearing directly from all 4 of those, with an opportunity for some questions.

We would encourage you to both book onto the event yourselves or register to receive the link to recording (if you are unable to join us live) and to publicise it to ​other voluntary and community sector organisations you work with.
