The morning session will bring together art, culture, health and care organisations to explore how art and culture can benefit our health and wellbeing.
Peter Knock (Cumbria County Council) will provide an update on personalisation and brokerage work.
Lucie Stephens (Head of Co-production, New Economics Foundation) will talk about the work they are undertaking to promote the role of art and culture within health and care. Presentations from local art and culture organisations working in health and care will follow.
The afternoon session will be an opportunity to find out about:
- The Cumbria Rural Health Network’s Telemedicine project
Alison Marshall, Professor of Health Technology and Innovation, University of Cumbria - The recent Patient Transport Survey
Lorrainne Smyth, Chief Executive, ACTion with Communities in Cumbria - The future of Adult Social Care and Public Health in Cumbria
Richard Parry, Corporate Director of Health and Care Services, Cumbria County Council and Colin Cox, Director of Public Health, Cumbria County Council
There will be limited display space available for third sector organisations working in art, culture, health and care to share information about the work they do, and increase awareness of their projects.
