Active Listening Skills

This course will help to improve your listening skills. During the session we will discuss what “effective listening” is, understand the skills required and discuss the blocks to effective listening.

The course includes a practical session to help you listen in your workplace, whilst volunteering or in your life generally.

By the end of the session, participants will :

• Have discussed what “listening” is
• Understand what skills are required for effective listening
• Have discussed the blocks to effective listening
• Understand the difference between listening and active listening
• Have practiced developing appropriate responses
• Have information on a listening model

This course is FREE and open to all*

* A £10 cancellation fee will apply if a place is cancelled within one week of the training and/or for non attendance.
