This is Us is funded by Westmorland Furness Council and Central Government.

It delivers place-based support to organisations and volunteers to enhance volunteering opportunities in Westmorland and Furness, while supporting those organisations through training and 1:1 sessions in capacity building, governance and sustainability.

This is Us is based across the Westmorland and Furness area, with staff based in the former Barrow in Furness, South Lakeland and Eden districts.

Staff offer:

• Business planning and sustainability support
• Governance and trustee training
• Fundraising support and funding searches
• Volunteer development workshops
• Volunteer opportunity days
• Sessions with organisations to develop new volunteering roles
• 1:1 sessions working on organisational needs

We also deliver:

• Online and face to face training
• Workshops and networking opportunities
• Sessions for organisations and individuals
