An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role within our support staff team. We are recruiting for: 

Officer Manager 

37 Hours per week (negotiable) 

Salary: £29,511 – £35,937 (FTE) (depending on experience)  

Office based with hybrid working opportunities   

This role will help ensure the smooth operation of our offices and support the core CVS Administration team. Working closely with the CEO, you will provide a responsive and engaging service across CVS ensuring clear and effective administrative procedures, co-ordinate key aspects of organisational support services (including HR, IT, H&S) and be responsible for data management, GDPR compliance and governance support.

Principal Duties 

  • Positively lead and support the administrative support services team 
  • Oversee and ensure effective day to day delivery of office management tasks 
  • Ensure effective administrative support to all Cumbria CVS functions 
  • Ensure effective handling of all day-to-day administrative tasks including training, events, bookings, handling mail, stock control and asset management 
  • Manage and deliver recruitment, training and related HR processes and procedures 
  • Coordinate training and development activities across the organisation 
  • Undertake regular staff wellbeing surveys and organise initiatives supportive to good health and wellbeing 
  • Co-ordinate with suppliers, contractors and others on building maintenance and lease agreements 
  • Ensure effective handling of enquiries that will give the best outcome for Cumbria CVS members 
  • Ensure appropriate health and safety checks, audits and training are in place. 
  • Any other appropriate duties as specified by line manager, trustees or SMT 

What we are looking for 

  • a self motivated individual 
  • an excellent communicator 
  • strong administration and organisation skills 
  • experience in a similar role would be desirable   
  • HNC/HND in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable
