The floods of December 2015 brought out the very best in people throughout Cumbria, with a huge volunteer response. We are now looking to help volunteers/ individuals better support their local community to respond effectively in future emergencies.
Task Supervisor
If you are you interested in helping your community respond to emergencies and would be willing to lead a small group of volunteers, then this session is for you. Becoming a Task Supervisor will equip you with the skills and knowledge to take charge of and look after a small group of volunteers who will be involved in carrying out a range of practical task before and after an emergency.
This session will cover:
- How the emergency response is organised
- Your role an emergency situation
- How to keep communities and volunteers safe
