Is your organisation or community group a social enterprise or thinking of becoming one?  Then come along to learn from three specialists.

There are some amazing social enterprises in Cumbria providing diverse and vital services and some newly emerging community groups considering different social enterprise structures to find the best fit for their work and future fundraising.

We have three speakers at the forum with many years experience of supporting social enterprises who offer a range of specialised services and support.

Each expert will provide a presentation about the support and services available with lots of time for Q&As.

Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership (Martin Allman)
The Partnership is financially supported by Cumbria County Council to support business advice and networking activities and through the provision of staff time to support the steering group’s activities in order to; increase the formation, growth and survival rates of Cumbrian social enterprises; improve information and communication between and outside the Cumbrian social enterprise sector in the North West of England and beyond; grow market opportunities for Cumbrian social enterprises, to represent the interests of the Cumbrian social enterprise sector; and to work with local, regional national and transnational bodies to strengthen the sector. www.secumbria.org

Wingspan Consulting Ltd (Director Guy Huxtable)
Wingspan provide business support for social enterprises as part of a consortium that has been providing support to new and existing social enterprise across Cumbria for more than a decade on behalf of the Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership. This includes support on issues such as legal structures and incorporation, business planning, organisational development, social impact and funding. Rachel will provide an introduction to their accreditation pathway and how it could benefit your social enterprise.
