Founder Trustee of the National Funding Scheme, William Makower, has spent the last ten years understanding what makes donors give and how digital can best answer the donor’s need whilst making fundraising fun and creative for the charity fundraiser.
This talk considers how charitable organisations can maximise donations and maintain strong donor relationships across multiple digital channels including text, web and contactless giving.
William is a serial entrepreneur having started his public sector digital consultancy in 1999 (during the original dotcom boom days). In 2012 he founded the charity, National Funding Scheme (operating under the public-facing DONATE™ brand, DONATE™) this scheme (www.nationalfundingscheme.org) is an integrated platform that provides convenient and effortless individual giving via SMS text, contactless and mobile web. Its simplicity has delivered case studies demonstrating increases of 17x amounts raised and millions of ££s raised for local, regional and national charities.
