Going Green Together

What is Going Green Together?

Going Green Together is a programme of support for the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector, to help organisations become environmentally sustainable and get involved in climate action, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, Point North, and Tees Foundation.

Pilot

Cumbria CVS and Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAFs) partnered with Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East (VONNE) to deliver the Going Green Together pilot from 2022-24. The project reached over 200 organisations across the North East and Cumbria through events, training, and support opportunities, catalysing action to make our sector greener.

Future

With the continuation of the programme, Cumbria CVS and CAfS are taking forward learning from the project to develop a bespoke support offer for Cumbria’s VCSE sector, and will be working closely with VONNE to share learning between the North East and Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet local needs and support our sector to meet the challenge of the climate crisis head-on.
