Bedrock Basics Project is delighted to offer you and your organisation the opportunity to take part in “Personal Leadership in Non-Profit Organisations” development course.

Are you a leader* in a non-profit organisation that is delivering services in / to / for people and communities in west Cumbria? * A leader may be the manager of an organisation but may also be in other roles with the ability to influence change within the organisation.

Leadership in non-profit organisations can be very rewarding but it can also be very challenging having to constantly juggle many competing demands on both time and resources.

This course will provide time, space, and opportunities to:

  • Understand your personal impact as a leader.
  • Influencing others and being influenced by others.
  • Your values and your drivers as a leader
  • Confidence and self-belief as a leader
  • Assertiveness
  • Managing Conflict
  • Change
  • Resilience
  • Listen to / Learn From other leaders.
  • Build Leader to Leader Peer Support across non-profit organisations.

This is being delivered through partnership with Centre for Leadership Performance which is a West Cumbria based non-profit organisation who work to “Develop Cumbria’s Leaders for Today & Tomorrow.

This will consist of a block of 4 x 3-hour sessions on:

Thurs 14th March – 9.15am – 12.45pm. (Face to face or virtual depending on participants preference)

Thursday 24th April – 9.15am – 12.45pm (Virtual)

Thursday 6th June – 9.15am – 12.45pm (Virtual)

Thursday 11th July 9.15am – 12.45pm (Virtual)

We are looking for individuals who will commit to trying to participate in each of the four sessions (total of 12 hours) AND a total of approx. 6 hours of pre-course and between sessions work to gain the most from it for themselves as leaders and the organisations they are involved. !2 places are available. Priority will be given to organisations who have not received intensive support from Bedrock Awards Programme.
