New Community Connectors join project

Area Engagement Worker, Jess Longrigg, shares news from our Community Connectors project:

I am so excited to announce that after a few months of foot-finding, in the last 6-8 weeks I have seen the recruitment of 7 new Community Connectors to the project with a few more waiting in the wings! Between them, they represent a variety of community groups from Sensory Loss to Young people to Autism to Men’s Mental Health. I am excited to see where these collaborations lead to. There are some meaningful ideas already on the table which I am looking forward to updating you on as they start to take shape.

There are further advancements also being made amongst groups in the south of county in Barrow and Kendal – again, these are just starting to take shape but I am optimistic that they are set to be really significant and consequential.

I am really encouraged that the project is gaining momentum across the county. Every week I am meeting passionate people who want to see the overall wellbeing of their communities improved and maintained. So watch this space, because big things are coming!
