Salary Details: £24,963 rising to £26,858

8% employer’s pension contributions, with 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Office based (hybrid/remote working can be considered)
Our First Contact Team has a proven track record of delivering high quality information, advice and support that helps people resolve their problems.
We aim, as far as possible, to provide all the help a person needs at the first point of contact with our service so any worry and distress is reduced and people can move forward with their lives. First Contact Advisers therefore need a unique set of skills.
As well as being inquisitive, intelligent and quick thinking, successful candidates will have:
- ideally some experience of providing advice to the public on social welfare issues such as benefits, housing and employment, or experience working or volunteering in a charity
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal appropriately with a cross section of people
- excellent IT skills
- a positive attitude to working as part of a team and to continuous learning
- strong commitment to our values of fairness, equality and social justice
- the ability to work flexibly, with a focus on good customer care
