– What makes a good opportunity description.

– How to keep your Profile and Opportunities information up to date.

– Promoting your opportunities.

– What happens when a potential volunteer is interested in your opportunity.

– Other Features – How to print or save Volunteering Opportunity Sheets to give to potential volunteers, Adding Events for one-off opportunities, Volunteering App, Logging hours.

– Questions and Troubleshooting.

This session is suitable for those who have never used the Portal before, and also for those who would like more help and support to use it.

The database is run by Cumbria CVS, with the aim of strengthening volunteering in the county. The service allows individuals to self-register and search for the latest opportunities, and organisations seeking volunteers to add vacancies and manage applications.

You will find our Portal here: https://volunteering.cumbriacvs.org.uk

This event is part of our This Is Us project, made possible by Westmorland and Furness Council through funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Priority will be given to organisations which are looking for volunteers in the Westmorland and Furness area.

We also have special guests from Sir John Fisher and Furness Roller Derby to share best practice.
