British Heart Foundation – Volunteer Taster Day

Come and join us at the British Heart Foundation Volunteer Taster Day. Try out some volunteering such as on the Shop Floor with putting pricing on items for sale, serving customers, taking bookings for collections and deliveries. There are also opportunities to help with loading or unloading the van , merchandise the shop floor when sold items are sold, etc. Join us a for a friendly, informal but informative session to learn more about the different British Heart Foundation Volunteering Opportunities and try out some Volunteering Too!
Eden Outreach Monthly Session
Our next Cumbria CVS Eden Outreach Session will be on Monday 2nd December.
- Do you work with people who would benefit from volunteering and would like to find out more? Are you looking for volunteers? Do you know someone who would like to volunteer? Would you like support or advice to strengthen your group’s volunteering programme?
- Are you a small community group or organisation looking for support or advice? Would you like help finding funding? Do you have questions about governance, policies, or business planning?

These events are always an opportunity to meet with other people from third sector organisations who have in interest in all things health and care in North Cumbria. The events are also a space to hear about the latest developments in relation to health and care and keep up to date with new initiatives, services and projects as they develop.
Introduction to Employment Best Practice
Bedrock Basics Project is delighted to offer you free training on “Introduction to Employment Best Practice.” This training is free and is for trustees / management committee or / and staff with HR as a part of their duties and responsibilities with non-profit organisations delivering services in west Cumbria.
We are pleased to be working with William Hare Limited. The course will be delivered by Kirsty Brennan, Head of HR & Training with William Hare Limited.

This session aims to attract those that are feeling lonely, chronically isolated or anyone interested in finding out more about the Furness For You project and how it could help support you or someone you know. This event is open to the general public to come along, have some lunch and find out more about what’s on offer from the Furness For You project across the Barrow and Furness area and is funded by the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund.
