Bedrock Basics Project is delighted to offer you free training opportunities. This training is free for paid staff and volunteers with non-profit organisations delivering services in west Cumbria.

You will have the opportunity to Assess a Manual Handling task.

Learn how to understand the manual handling task.

Consider individual capability, load environment and other factors.

Demonstrate the ability to carry out the correct procedures for Manual Handling.

HSE Five steps to risk assessment can be followed to ensure that your Manual Handling risk assessment is carried out correctly.

1. Identify the hazards with significant risks.
2. Decide who might be harmed and how.
3. Evaluate the risks and decide on control measures.
4. Record your findings and implement them.
5. Review your Manual Handling Risk Assessments and update them if necessary.
