Cumbria CVS is involved in Support Cumbria which is an official collaboration of partners across Cumbria who are working together to provide community support to residents and organisations during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Support Cumbria has a central database of potential volunteers in Cumbria who have registered their interest in volunteering for volunteering opportunities during Covid-19.
Support Cumbria has the potential to reach a large number of new volunteers (via the database) and signpost them to Covid-19 volunteering opportunities.

If your group or organisation needs volunteers to as a result of and to respond to Covid-19, please complete this simple form providing details of your volunteering opportunities. This will then be shared with volunteers in that local area, registered through this database, who will then contact organsiations directly to take up these opportunities.
Some examples of Covid-19 volunteering opportunities that have been brokered through Support Cumbria are Kendal Emergency Community Planning Group, Diabetes UK, Friends of Ormsgill School, North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC), University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, Cumbria County Council, Community Neighbours – Carlisle City Council, Dazzle For Children, Copeland Age and Advice Service, Cancer Care, Kirkby Stephen Good Neighbours, Penrith Town Council, and more.
