NORTH CUMBRIA NHS area – IMPORTANT have your say about 3 key health strategies/documents for North East & North Cumbria

There are a number of consultations taking place across the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) this month, with opportunities to feedback both individually and collectively.

Consultations are taking place on:

  • Draft Joint Forward Plan
  • Draft People and Culture Strategy
  • Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Joint Forward Plan

Joint Forward Plan

Since the publication of the Integrated Care Strategy, ‘Better Health and Wellbeing for All’, in December 2022, the ICB has been working closely with partner organisations to produce the Joint Forward Plan.

They have engaged with system partners to create the Integrated Care Strategy, and are seeking feedback and views on the Joint Forward Plan to deliver the ambitions agreed.

You can view the draft plan here and feedback and comments are welcome by email no later than 31 August 2023. The contact email for providing feedback is necsu.icbplanning@nhs.net

VONNE’s Health and Wellbeing Programme Director, Lisa Taylor, will be hosting a Joint Forward Plan feedback session on Monday, 21st August 2023, 2:00pm – 3:00pm to facilitate a collective VCSE sector response to the draft plan.

DRAFT People and Culture Plan

The Integrated Care System has been developing a People and Culture Plan to address the workforce challenges across the System. We shared an early draft and collated some feedback from the sector to help develop the plan further.

Following a workforce summit event in early June, a revised draft of the plan has been produced and can be viewed here. Workforce leaders are now inviting further feedback on this revised draft.

Any feedback should be sent via email to necsu.ics_workforce@nhs.net by close of play Friday, 11th August 2023. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone who you feel would like to have the opportunity to feedback on the draft plan.

Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Joint Forward Plan: Feedback on draft plans

NORTH CUMBRIA NHS area – Women’s Health Conference October 2023

In August 2022, the first ever Women’s Health Strategy for England was published, marking a reset in the way in which the government looks at women’s health.  The strategy sets out the national 10-year ambitions for boosting the health and wellbeing of women and girls, and for improving how the health and care system engages and listens to all women and girls.

The North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System and the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities are co-hosting a Women’s Health Conference in the North East on Thursday 19th October 2023.

Part of the conference aim is to:

  • Celebrate and showcase work from across the region in line with the national women’s health strategy published last year

The organizers are looking for people/organisations to submit ideas for presentations. Click here to open form to apply.
