Overview

Are you passionate about strengthening local communities and supporting the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector?

Cumbria CVS is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Development Officer to deliver targeted support to VCFSE organisations across South Copeland.

In this role, you’ll work closely with local groups to help them build resilience, increase capacity, strengthen governance, and access funding—ultimately contributing to healthier, more inclusive communities.

Key Duties

  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to local VCFSE organisations
  • Offer guidance on governance, business planning, funding, volunteering and project evaluation
  • Support and attend training sessions, workshops, and networking events
  • Help organise and deliver training and learning opportunities
  • Contribute to reporting and evaluation for the Supporting South Copeland project

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of the VCFSE sector and experience supporting community-based organisations.

You’ll be confident offering guidance around governance, funding, business planning, and volunteering. Just as importantly, you’ll enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively to help organisations grow and thrive.
