An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role within our team. We are recruiting for:

Community Resilience Coordinator

37 hours per week (part time hours negotiable) Fixed term contract until 31 March 2027

Salary: £37,467- £43,899 (FTE) 

Blended working culture with office and home working. Expectation of at least two days per week in the office (Shaddongate, Carlisle) or in partner organisation offices.

Do you have extensive experience of community development, an interest in emergency management, and the passion to drive change?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work collaboratively with a wide range of people and organisations, including community groups and senior statutory sector staff, supporting, challenging and negotiating to lead change in a complex system.

Cumbria has a long history of community response during major incidents, including flooding, power loss and the Coronavirus pandemic. This senior role will build on that work, ensuring that Cumbria Local Resilience Forum’s “Communities to COBR” is fully embedded across partner organisations and plans, and seek new opportunities to build community resilience.
