About the Role:
You will act as the main point of contact for Barrow‑based VCFSE organisations, helping to gather accurate information, promote local services, and ensure they are represented on the Furness For You website. The role focuses on building connections between community groups, social prescribers, local services, and statutory partners, making it easier for people to access the support available to them.
Key responsibilities include:
- Community engagement and liaison, acting as a community connector to promote community‑led initiatives and strengthen links with local services and authorities
- First point of contact support for community groups ensuring groups can easily access advice and guidance
- Relationship and partnership development, building and maintaining strong working relationships with voluntary sector organisations, community groups, and statutory partners
- Information and contact sharing, helping groups access relevant networks, opportunities, and collaboration partners
- Communication and promotion, engaging with stakeholders and contributing to marketing and promotion of the community directory
- Monitoring and sharing project impact, ensuring outcomes and learning are communicated effectively
- Work with Team Barrow and partners to co‑design effective processes for information sharing, referral pathways, and communication across services
