Cumbria CVS has commissioned this free training to give non-profit groups the tools to successfully apply for funding in an increasingly competitive field. The course will give you practical support to improve your grant fundraising success and inspire you to become a more confident grant fundraiser, using data to evidence need. In attending our course, you will access expert insights, crucial information, and friendly advice that will help you increase your organisation’s income through grant funding.
Who is it for?
Any charitable, voluntary and not-for-profit groups in Westmorland and Furness, who are looking to find, use and collect data for grant funding applications and reporting. It is open to anyone, whether you are new to working with data or wish to build on your experience.
What is covered?
- Identifying the need for your project and using data to evidence this to funders;
- Describing your activities and the change they will make using data;
- Using data to evaluate your project and measure your impact;
- Look at how data collected on previous projects can be used to evidence need for your next project;
- Top tips on using data effectively within bid writing and general fundraising efforts.
What to expect:
The course consists of 2 x 2 hour online Zoom sessions, with a mixture of group work and individaul tasks with opportunities to ask questions. You are expected to attend both sessions.
By the end of the course, you will have been provided with the information you need to make the best use of your time and energy spent fundraising. This is complemented by our other two training courses: Bid Writing and Storytelling
