Meet the Funder: Westmorland and Furness Community Development Team (Eden and South Lakeland) Community Fund

Are you a not-for-profit group running community projects for local residents in Eden and South Lakes?  Your project can receive up to £5,000 if it meets the priorities of your Locality Board. This online session allows you to Meet the Funder and find out all you need to know, in order to make an application.

Who we are

The Community Development team give advice, support engagement activities and look after the Community Fund alongside our regional Locality Boards:

  • Eden Area Locality Board
  • South Lakeland Area Locality Board

What we fund 

Funding can go towards things like:

  • start-up costs of a new group or community initiative
  • refurbishment costs of community hubs, including village halls and community centres
  • new equipment costs

  • What can and can’t be funded
  • How to apply
  • Top tips for what to include in your application
  • How Cumbria CVS can support you with your application

This course is exclusively for individuals and organizations within the voluntary sector in Cumbria, this includes charities, community groups, community interest companies, friendly societies, social clubs, many sports clubs, churches and other faith groups, and voluntary organisations.
