Disability Consultation: Adult Commissioning Strategy

Cumbria County Council is consulting on the Adult Commissioning Strategy ahead of setting its budget for 2016/17. The public are being given the opportunity to provide feedback on this and in order to help meet the requirements of the Equality Act (2010), this disability consultation event has been arranged.
This event is aimed solely at disability organisations and people who use services, with the aim of looking at the proposals from a disability perspective.
The session will be attended by Hugh Evans, Interim Corporate Director – Health and Care Services and Beth Furneaux, Cabinet Member for Health and Care Services.
Refreshments will be available from 12.30pm and all delegates are requested to arrive by 1pm to ensure a prompt start.
All travel will be reimbursed by Cumbria County Council and they will do what they can to meet any access requirements to enable people to attend the event.
