Data protection basics for community organisations

This training session will teach community organisations in Cumbria the basics of data protection, including key legislation, both nationally and internationally.

The session will also explain what impact leaving the EU has had on the UK’s data protections laws.

Community organisations will leave this training course with a better understanding of the requirements of this legislation and what it means for them.

Whether you represent a large charity that handles special category data, or a small community group running activities, this one-hour masterclass will improve your knowledge of data protection.

This one-hour masterclass will take place virtually on July 15th from 10am until 11am.

Eligibility Statement:
This course is exclusively for individuals and organizations within the voluntary sector in Cumbria, this includes charities, community groups, community interest companies, friendly societies, social clubs, many sports clubs, churches and other faith groups, and voluntary organisations.
