Cumbria CVS is very pleased to announce the return of local Funding Fairs across Cumbria starting in the South Lakes next month. These popular, face to face events have been put on hold over the last 12-18 months due to the pandemic however, working alongside local and national funders, these will start once again from 29 September 2021.
Although Cumbria CVS has (and will continue) to host the Friday Funding Forums (first Friday of every month) – which often involved input from local and other funders – these locally based events will once again provide a fantastic opportunity for local groups to engage directly with these funders to build a relationship and discuss funding and finance opportunities project developments, new projects and even core funding.

Confirmed funders include: Francis C Scott Trust, Hadfield Trust, Heritage Lottery Fund, National Lottery Community Fund, Cumbria Community Foundation, Sir John Fisher Foundation, local and district councils and many more.

Funding fairs are a great chance for us to talk to groups about their potential heritage projects and how exploring heritage can provide a wealth of opportunities and unlock benefits for individuals and communities such as developing new skills or improving wellbeing.’

The first fair will take place aimed at groups in South Lakeland on Wednesday 29 September 2021 at Kendal Town Hall, from 10am – 3pm.

Places are limited and are booking fast and so please book yours now.
We would advise only one person per organisation (max 2) to maximise the opportunities available to as many groups as possible. Priority will be given to groups/organisations from South Lakeland (please see below for dates of events in your area).

Groups can attend ONE session during the day – Either 10am – 12noon OR 1pm – 3pm
