Community Choices
This is a new scheme from Sellafield Ltd. It is aimed at offering not-for-profit organisations the chance to apply for grants for their charity/community group – with the public ultimately deciding who gets the money.
If you are planning a project that could have a real impact in the community then Community Choices may be able to help you.
For more details on how to apply visit: decidingtogether.org
The application process is open until Sunday 12 February 2017 – a shortlist will then be drawn up and the public will be invited to vote for the projects they feel should receive the support to make our communities an even better place to live and work.
The scheme is being launched by Sellafield Ltd and supported by CN Group – publishers of Times and Star – CFM, Phoenix Enterprise Centre, and Cumbria Community Foundation.
“Community Choices is all about local people taking the future of their area into their own hands. This is an opportunity to support the charities and community people value most. It also gives those charities and community groups a fantastic platform to showcase the great work they do.”
Helen Fisher, Head of Social Impact for Sellafield Ltd.
