Get on Board – Volunteer Trustee and Director Information Sessions
These are informal but informative events for anyone interested in becoming a trustee or director for a local charity.
The sessions bring together a range of organisations that are looking to recruit new trustees, directors or board members (e,g. general trustees, secretary, treasurer, chair, etc). Volunteers will find out more about what a trustee and board member is, roles and responsibilities, skills and qualities needed, the range of opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed, training and support provided and how individuals can register and apply.
There will be an opportunity to meet local charities needing trustees and to hear from an existing trustee about the trustee role and the benefits both for individuals and local charities. Anyone interested can chat informally to organisations around the room about the different opportunities available and register their interest.
