Working with Asylum Seekers and Refugees – a survey for voluntary and community sector groups
January 31, 2022
The recent work to coordinate support for the asylum seekers arriving in Cumbria has revealed that this is a very new area of work for some local VCS organisations (and some organisations from other sectors, too), and that they’d like to be able to access training and support to build their skills.
If this is relevant to your organisation, please complete our survey so that we know what support you’d like.
This short survey aims to:
- Better understand and identify gaps in Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations’ staff and volunteers’ knowledge, skills and approaches to working with asylum seekers and refugees
- Identify what training and professional development is wanted and required to upskill VCS organisations’ staff and volunteers and their practice when working with asylum seekers and refugees
- Improve VCS organisations’ support of asylum seekers and refugees through developing Cumbria CVS’ offer to its VCS members
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and closes on Friday, 4th February.
