2024-25 Annual Review: A year of change

We’re delighted to be publishing our 2024-25 Annual Review.

Covering the period from April 2024 to March 2025, it features reports on a huge range of activity across the year.

Our Chief Executive, Carolyn Otley, says in her report “Looking forwards, it’s certainly a challenging landscape for many voluntary and community sector organisations, as demands increase, funding becomes increasingly hard to source, and volunteer recruitment becomes more challenging.

But there are also some clear opportunities, some local (such as Team Barrow, and its Social Impact Fund), and some Cumbria wide (such as devolution and the prospect of an elected Mayor for Cumbria).

I hope Cumbria CVS can continue to support the local voluntary and community sector to connect to and influence these opportunities, and support them to overcome the day to day challenges of running a small organisation.”

In a year that saw us pass the significant milestone of 500 members, you’ll find in our Annual Review reports from our projects, news of our new leadership team, details of how we’re connecting and supporting the sector, volunteering and health and wellbeing reports, statistics and more – it’s a packed summary of an equally busy year.
