The Trust, which has supported the community of Walney since its establishment in 2003, is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate for the newly created position of Deputy Community & Youth Lead.

There are two key areas to the work of the Trust: our youth work and our community work. Our long-established youth club and other work with young people has underpinned the youth work for many years. The community work was introduced some years or so ago and has also flourished. Over time, it has become more apparent that these vital provisions overlap considerably and as such, there is a need to develop roles that oversee these key areas of the Trust.

The Deputy Community & Youth Lead will work directly with children, young people and families in our community to build healthy relationships and allow them to develop life skills to become thriving, valued members of our community. They will assist in developing and managing a range of inclusive and accessible community focused programmes and projects that are designed to meet the needs of our community. This will include planning, delivery, budgets, data and evaluation of youth sessions, community activities, events, projects and targeted work.

We are looking to appoint 2 Deputy Community & Youth Lead who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children, young people, families and the community we serve; someone who can engage and build relationships just as well with young people and adults as they can with other professionals and partners; someone who is excited and motivated to lead a team and work across a range of projects.
