Every Life Matters is a suicide prevention and suicide bereavement charity operating across Cumbria. We work to create suicide safer communities through provision of training, campaigning, awareness raising, developing physical and digital resources and starting conversations about suicide across our local communities. We also provide practical and emotional support to individuals, families, organisations and employers bereaved and impacted by suicide.

Due to continued growth of the charity we need to recruit a Children and Young People’s Suicide Bereavement Support Practitioner who, working alongside a colleague in Westmorland and Furness, can deliver flexible support to children and young people in Cumberland who are bereaved and impacted by suicide, including the Carlisle,
Copeland and Allerdale areas.

This is an incredibly rewarding but also emotionally demanding role, and we are looking for a highly resilient individual who can support children and young people after experiencing what is generally regarded as one of the most traumatic forms of bereavement. We are looking for someone who is passionate about our cause, can work flexibly and creatively, is an excellent communicator with children, and who can go the extra mile for our young clients.
