Volunteering made easier by new database

The launch of a new database for Cumbria is set to make it easier for volunteers to find a volunteering role, and for organisations to recruit new volunteers.

The database is run by us, with the aim of strengthening volunteering in the county. The new service allows individuals to self-register and search for the latest opportunities, and organisations seeking volunteers to add vacancies and manage applications.

Volunteering Manager at Cumbria CVS, Judith Smale, said “This system works to build better communities, and raise the profile of volunteering to help to grow, nurture and develop our volunteer workforce and pool throughout the county. Organisations can advertise opportunities, attract more volunteers, and sign them up quickly and effectively. It also has a wealth of additional volunteer management features.”

Organisations looking to recruit volunteers and anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can register here: volunteering.cumbriacvs.org.uk
