NCVO Time Well Spent Research and Vision for Volunteering in Cumbria – Survey

As you may be aware, NCVO has recently shared their updated Time Well Spent Research which focuses on volunteers and their experience.

Here at Cumbria CVS, we are keen to gain feedback from your organisation and your volunteers to ensure we have your Voice for Volunteering here in Cumbria.

Reflecting on the NCVO Time Well Spent Research and the national ten year strategy for the Vision for Volunteering, we aim to further support our local organisations to work towards this.

You may have been involved previously in our workshop for the Vision for Volunteering with Volunteer Managers in Cumbria. This workshop was held so we could gain your feedback, issues and ideas about what your Vision for Volunteering is for the next 10 years. Your feedback was shared nationally to help create the Vision for Volunteering.

We are aware that Volunteer Managers/Leads change and feedback, issues and ideas do so as well. Organisations, volunteers and volunteering is changing and developing each year so in order to create a shared Vision for Volunteering in Cumbria, we kindly ask for you to complete this short survey by 18 September 2023.

By gaining your feedback we can further develop a Vision for Volunteering in Cumbria and look to see how we can best support organisations with recruiting and good practice in volunteer management. We also want to see how as a Volunteering Network, we can best support potential volunteers to find out about local opportunities, break down barriers and enable inclusion in order for a more diverse range of people to become volunteers.

We will use your feedback to update the Plan, which we hope to share with you by Autumn 2023. Your feedback and having your Voice for Volunteering also enables us to share your voice and issues through the Third Sector Network Executive in Cumbria and can also help us to see where the gaps are in supporting your organisation, which provides evidence of need for future funding bids.
