2022-23 Annual Review – rising to the challenges

We’re delighted to be publishing our 2022-23 Annual Review.

Covering the period from April 2022 to March 2023, it features reports on a huge range of activity across the year.

Our Chief Executive, David Allen, describes the period as containing many challenges, including the aftermath of the pandemic, continued social isolation, increases in NHS waiting lists and an overloaded care system, some of the highest inflation levels in thirty years, a UK government debacle, war in Ukraine and the impact on food and energy prices worldwide, and the resultant “cost of living” crisis.

The county underwent Local Government Reorganisation, and we launched new projects including Community Connectors, South Lakes Poverty Truth Commission and Step Forward into Volunteering and Employment.

Supporting our vision of a strong voluntary sector working collectively across Cumbria for the greater good, you’ll find updates on the work we do to support the VCFSE sector in the county, including statistics, case studies, and a look at how we’re evolving to continue, and improve, that support.
