6 Steps to Successful Funding

Funding Surgery
Understanding how and who to apply to for funding is an issue that many voluntary and community groups have to deal with. To help such groups Cumbria CVS is holding free surgery sessions.
The surgery sessions will last 30 minutes and will give groups the opportunity to discuss items such as how to be ‘fit for funding’, where to look for funding and to get advise on how to write a good application.
Mental Capacity Act: Level 1
Date: Wednesday 11th February 2015
Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Where: Penrith Rugby Club
Town: Penrith
The Mental Capacity Act provides a framework to empower and protect people who may lack capacity to make some decisions for themselves.
This training will:
- List and understand the basic principles of the Act and why we need them
- Identify how people make decisions and the decisions that they need to make
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to assess/judge if someone has the capacity to make a particular decision
- Show that they understand how to make a ‘best interests’ decision for someone who lacks capacity
- Apply the above to their place of work
Free for Cumbria CVS members
£10 for non Cumbria CVS members
