This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified social workers, health care professionals or qualified therapists interested in working in this arena and developing their trauma informed practice. Trauma Informed Practitioners work with adults, children and young people providing specialist support, performing duty referral triage and assessment provision, working 1:1 with clients offering safety and stabilisation techniques as well as supporting any practical needs. Trauma Informed Practitioners also support our Tier 4 services of volunteers, groups, awareness raising and training, supporting their reintegration back into communities and expanding the scope of services that Safety Net offers. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own case load, work autonomously and pro-actively with clients as well as in an inter-agency context. The role is hybrid working which means the successful candidate will need to be able to travel across Cumbria and work remotely from home. All Trauma Informed Practitioners are working remotely at present, with sessions being delivered via telephone or video link. We provide the following staff wellbeing support, clinical supervision, case management and peer support meetings, all taking place through Microsoft Teams at present. Reporting to: Head of Operations and Head of Clinical Practice.

Hours: 35 hours per week full time.
