Third Sector Referral Coordinator – Cancer

Salary Details: £23,836 pro rata

The post is for 18 hours per week for a fixed term of 12 months.

This new and exciting position provides an opportunity to be part of an integrated approach to supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis in their communities.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic applicant who understands and values the contribution that third sector organisations make to the health and wellbeing of people living with cancer. You will be responsible for supporting clinical and care staff to understand third sector support and make appropriate referrals. You will work alongside hospital and community health and care services, attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and keep NHS teams up to date with information about services and support offered by the third sector in the local community.
The post holder will hold an Honorary Contract with North Cumbria Integrated Care Foundation Trust. This post will help to support national work being undertaken by NHS England on issues relating to data sharing and GDPR.
