CAP Project Outline

The Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is designed to provide community guidance and education regarding the consumption and potential dangers and abuse of alcohol especially for young people.It addresses the link between alcohol and anti – social behaviour. As such the project aims to provide young people led activities and support particularly for those identified as being of risk.

The project will run for 8 hours per week over two sessions – initially one weekday /evening and one week end over a total period of 12 weeks. Delivery beyond this is subject to funding and community objectives. The hourly rate £15.00 per hour.

You will work with a small team including a PSCO with other agencies if and when appropriate to deliver positive young people led activities, services and facilities etc. The age range will be 13 -19 year olds.

The main venue will be Longtown Community Centre but on occasions delivery could be in other community locations.

 

 The successful applicants will be required to hold a Disclosure and Barring Service Application. Safeguarding, first aid, health and safety training will be provided if required.
