Growing Well is a farm-based mental health charity at Low Sizergh Farm near Kendal. The horticultural context is key to our charity as it provides a safe, supportive working environment to nurture mental health recovery. Growing Well works with people on a weekly basis to help rebuild a sense of purpose, to engage in meaningful and fulfilling activity and to build hope for the future.

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and ambitious fundraiser to deliver exciting community and corporate fundraising campaigns, provide excellent stewardship to our network of generous donors, and assist with creation of compelling, high-value grants and trusts fundraising applications.

We are looking for a committed and creative fundraiser with excellent written and interpersonal skills and a strong track record in community fundraising, individual giving and corporate fundraising. Experience of grants and trusts fundraising would also be an advantage, to support our grants and trusts fundraiser and Head of Development on everything from community bids to major strategic bids.

You’ll be working as part of our Development team to expand the income of our small, single-site charity and allow us to become a multi-sited, Cumbriawide network.

We receive no statutory funding to support our work. Grants and trusts fundraising is our main income source. As we grow, we seek to further diversify our fundraising mix to incorporate a more robust community fundraising plan and corporate giving structure to sustain each local site, as well as developing avenues in digital and online giving.

The role offers great variety and will cover the full fundraising mix, prioritising our greatest income streams, helping to develop new ones and providing excellent stewardship to our network of existing donors.

The role can be office-based at our site at Low Sizergh, remote, or a mix of both, depending on skills, experience and home location.

If you are interested in applying for this exciting role please email Head of Development Richard Eccles at richard@growingwell.co.uk for a Job Pack.

CLOSING DATE: 5pm Friday June 3. In-person interviews will be held at Growing Well on Friday June 10th (or on Zoom, if required).
