About Us:

Lancashire Boys & Girls Clubs is an independent charitable youth organisation established over 80 years that delivers positive experiences to young people through a wide range of projects, activities and support services via member clubs and other youth groups throughout the wider Lancashire area, with particular regard for supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. To this aim we require effective and innovative ways to raise funds and recruit and support volunteers. As a result this creates an interesting role for someone willing to apply themselves to a highly rewarding job.

The Role:

This position has the dual function of Fundraiser & Volunteer Co-ordinator

Fundraiser: In liaison with the business sector, stakeholders, member organisations, local community and a team of volunteers, plan, organise and deliver a range of fundraising events and activities in order to raise much needed funds and support for our charity.

Volunteer Co-ordinator: Identify, recruit and support volunteers into various positions across the county.

THE CANDIDATE – MUST:

 Possess experience of work in the voluntary sector, supporting volunteers and fundraising

 Be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to efficiency and effective working practices

 Possess an array of modern office skills with excellent communication skills

 Be an integral team member and able to work on their own initiative

 Be a good problem solver, keen to learn and open to creative ways of working

 Be reliable, honest, trustworthy and approachable
